Fabric Painting Directions
General Instructions Prewash and dry fabric to remove sizing. Cover work area with craft/newspaper. Read instructions on back of Simply Spray. Practice spraying on a separate piece of fabric or paper before starting your project. (Get used to the feel of the trigger, apply even pressure.) |
IMPORTANT: FOR CONSISTENT COLOR: ALWAYS BEGIN SPRAYING ON A PAPER TOWEL AND CONTINUE, USING EVEN PRESSURE, ONTO AND OFF OF YOUR PROJECT. Cover a piece of cardboard with a paper towel. Always start your spray on this paper towel. Then, move while spraying onto your project and continue spraying back onto the paper towel before letting go of the trigger. This will avoid any spatter on the project. Try and use one of the following techniques on a single project to create new, unique and interesting designs. |
Techniques All-Over Twist . Cover work area with paper towel. . Lay your shirt on a flat covered surface. . Pinch up a part of the shirt (both layers) and twist. . Repeat this process all over the shirt. . Using Simply Spray - Shake can well, pull off blue safety tab, spray the entire shirt. (For darker coverage, spray over twice.) . Wait about 10 minutes for the shirt to begin to dry. . Open the shirt. . For a 2 color twist, repeat the above process with your second color. It is not necessary to let the first color dry before applying the second color. . Shirt will be dry to the touch in about an hour. Allow to dry thoroughly (72 hours) before washing. |
